Minerals Education Victoria

Minerals Education Victoria (MEV) supports students by providing helpful and relevant experiences and resources in the following subject areas:

• Science
• Geography
• Environmental Science
• Chemistry
• Technology

Minerals Education Victoria is an initiative of the Victorian Division of the Minerals Council of Australia, and has been supporting teachers and school students to learn more about the minerals industry since 1996. MEV is a not-for-profit organisation with funding for our programs provided by MCA members operating in Victoria and the Melbourne Mining Club.

The goal of Minerals Education Victoria is to assist the education community to deliver useful information about Australia's important minerals industry through school visits, site tours and on line resources.

Minerals are vital to Australia's economy, provide the community with a large number of everyday items, and are relevant to many parts of the curriculum in the primary and secondary sectors.
