The Darwin Mining Club is pleased to welcome Linda Murry, General manager – Gove operations Rio Tinto as the keynote speaker for this lunch.

Linda commenced the role of Grove operations General Manager in October 2017, after a decade building her career at Rio Tinto’s Weipa bauxite operations in far north Queensland. Most recently she held the position of operations manager for the East Weipa mine.

Linda is a mining engineer with a passion for inclusion and diversity, with a background in mine planning, operations and logistics.  She is embracing the challenge to drive productivity improvements for Gove operations and improving local Indigenous participation at the mine and supporting initiatives to build a sustainable future for the region. Recently Linda was a joint recipient with Katrina Bangay of the Women of Excellence Award presented at the Women in Resources Northern Territory 2018.

Linda will update the Darwin Mining Club on her first year in the position, how things are tracking, what the future holds and what that means for the Territory.
