The Australian coal industry welcomes the announcement by the Australian Government of $25 million funding for CCS research at the Otway facility in Victoria, operated by the Cooperative Research Centre for Greenhouse Gas Technologies (CO2CRC). The Australian coal industry, through its COAL21 Fund, will also contribute $10 million over five years to this research.
