COMMENTS ON THE PROPOSED VICTORIAN PLANNING AND ENVIRONMENT REGULATIONS 2015

The Planning and Environment Regulations 2005, which sunset in 2015 and are currently being rewritten, contain ambiguities that cause the minerals industry concern.  The industry reports that the main difficulties lie in the applications process, which under the regulations are lengthy and can lead to project delays and cost increases.  The Minerals Council of Australia - Victorian Division looks forward to further engagement with the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning on the proposed Planning and Environment Regulations 2015.
