MCA calls for cost-benefit analysis on Victoria’s proposed Renewable Auction Scheme

Victoria's high living standards and economic prosperity are founded on the state's access to secure, affordable energy yet.

Yet the Victorian Government is still to undertake a full cost-benefit analysis to understand the impact on cost, industry and employment of its proposed Renewable Energy Auction Scheme - a new initiative to achieve the state's highly ambitious, and untested, Renewable Energy Target (RET).

Victorians must be able to make an informed decision about whether potential benefits outweigh the costs before any policy is implemented.
