Australia’s three highest earning exports to China in 2012-13 were minerals:

  1. Iron ore and concentrates – total value A$42 billion
  2. Coal – total value A$7.5 billion
  3. Gold – total A$6 billion

The total value of all minerals exports to China in 2012-13 was A$62 billion.
Minerals exports made up 73 per cent of total goods and services exports to China in 2012-13.

Australia’s mineral exports to Japan

Australia’s three highest earning exports to japan in 2012-13 were minerals:

  1. Coal – total value A$13.7 billion
  2. Iron ore and concentrates – total value A$8.6 billion
  3. Copper ore and concentrates – total value A$1.6 billion

The total value of all minerals exports to Japan in 2012-13 was A$25.7 billion.
Minerals exports made up 53 per cent of total goods and services exports to Japan in 2012-13.

Australia’s mineral exports to Korea

Australia’s two most valuable exports to Korea in 2012-13 were minerals:

  1. Coal – total value A$5 billion
  2. Iron ore and concentrates – total value A$4.9 billion

The total value of all minerals exports to Korea in 2012-13 was A$12.7 billion.
Minerals exports made up 61 per cent of total goods and services exports to Korea in 2012-13.
