The Vision 2020 Project
The Vision 2020 Project is a long-term research endeavour aimed at creating a blueprint for the future development of the Australia minerals industry and to identify appropriate policies and strategies to build capacity enabling the nation to maintain its position as a premium global supplier of minerals products well into the future. The Project was launched in 2007.
Vision 2020 Project — Phase Two — Infrastructure Audit
An audit of physical and social infrastructure in major minerals resources growth regions identifying the “state of the nation” and the gaps and impediments to maintaining, if not growing, market share in major minerals commodities by 2020.

A series of studies providing critical baseline data on the scale on potential global demand for minerals commodities in 2020; the various scenarios (upside, downside and maintenance of market share) for Australian exports to meet this global commodity demand; and projections on labour required to meet this need.
