Crimes (Industrial Manslaughter) Bill 28 February 2001
Safety, and in particular the goal of an industry free of fatalities and serious injury, is the Chamber’s number one priority and we support any positive action from government that will assist in the achievement of that goal. However, we question some of the legal tools proposed in the Bill to achieve that aim.

Our submission details several legal and practical concerns. These include specific issues and proposals outlined in the Issues Paper and other issues relevant to the proposed legislation.
